Boxing


           Boxing is the act or sport of fighting with the fists. Competition rules typically require boxing gloves and all blows must be above the waist and only on the front or sides of the body.
Boxing is one of the oldest martial arts styles of the western hemisphere of this world. It is also known as fist pugilism or pugilism of the fist. In other words, boxing is the act or sport of fighting with the fists. Basically, the game of boxing is generally played by two players where they fight, knocks each other on proper techniques. There are various types of boxing like Bare-knuckles boxing where you have to play the game without wearing any gloves at all. And there is also boxing where you have to wear boxing gloves. The game of boxing is supervised by a referee. The players have to fight a series of rounds (normally 12) with one-three minutes intervals. One boxer wins if his opponent is knocked down and can’t get up in ten counts or if he is declared too injured to carry on. In a typical match, each boxer is assigned a particular corner of the ring which he can use to consult with his coach and to rest in between the rounds. A corner is also where the assistant trainer and a doctor (called the cutman) houses themselves during a match. The former can motivate the boxer and tell him his mistakes and the latter can provide first aid in any case of bruise and bleeding on the boxer's face. In a boxing match, there can be three judges who maintain a score card depending on the finesse and perfection with which the boxers perform during the match. Swimming is one of the most popular recreational activities all over the world. Swimming is also a form of sport in several countries. Besides, the number of injuries associated with swimming is comparatively lesser than other sports. A lot of people frequently go to water parks, and lakes to enjoy swimming and other water sport activities.
People are becoming conscious about the various benefits of having a fit and a healthy body. Health and fitness experts always stress the importance of including swimming in their exercise regime. Swimming improves the blood circulation in the body and is a great workout for all the muscles. It is a form of low impact aerobic activity and increases strength and cardiovascular stamina. Apart from being a full body exercise, it is also a great way to relax and rejuvenate. A lot of people swim regularly to control their weight and improve body contours. In fact, swimming is considered as one of the greatest stress busters. Many people, who have the resources, prefer to have a swimming pool in their house.
Many people pursue swimming as a profession as well. There are people who work as lifeguards at swimming pools and beaches. They rescue people who are unable to swim or those who are facing problems while swimming. Some expert swimmers take up the job of a swimming coach to teach and guide new and amateur swimmers. They teach them the technique of swimming resistance and various swimming strokes. As the human body gains buoyancy in water, the swimmers can float effortlessly. However, water offers more resistance than air. Various water-based activities include water aerobics, water therapy, and water toning. These activities are instrumental in enhancing metabolism and offers relief from the fatigue and exhaustion associated with routine life.
It is recommended for new swimmers to begin swimming under the guidance and training of a proficient swimming coach. It can be fatal to enter a swimming pool without having prior training.

Volleyball


Volleyball is an enjoyable activity for the beach or the park. The game is played by two team of six players, with up to six substitutes allowed in a squad.   
A net  is fixed across the middle of a court eighteen metres long and nine metres wide. Two flexible antennae mark the extremes between which the ball must pass over the net.
   Play starts by one player serving the ball over the net from behind the base line. When the ball has passed over the net, the receiving team may play the ball three times before they must pass it back over the net.  Each player is only allowed to touch the ball once. The object of the game is to force the ball down onto the floor of the opponents court,or to put them under so much pressure that heyare unableto return the ball.
In volleyball, if the ball does not go back over the net, the opposition win a point. After each time a team wins the ball back from the opposition each player rotates one position clockwise. This rotation is a special feature of the game and it means that all players must play both in the front line and the back line. 
    A team wins a set by scoring 25 points with a two point lead and wins the match by winning three sets.

Baseball

Baseball is a game played with a bat, ball and glove. The fundamentals of the game involve throwing the ball, hitting the ball, and catching the ball. Of course, the execution of these three tasks is more challenging than it sounds, and it is that challenge that compels baseball players to play the game.

Baseball Basics

Unlike most games, a running clock does not limit the length of a baseball game. The two competing teams play over a period ofinnings, which are subdivided into halves. Professional and college games are generally nine innings long.
During the first half of each inning, the visiting team bats and attempts to score points, called runs, while the home team players take their respective defensive positions in the field. The defense's goal is to get the offensive team's players "out" in a variety of ways. After three outs are recorded, the teams switch -- the offensive team moves to defense, and the defensive team moves to offense. The batting team sends one player at a time to try and hit the ball.
The engine of the sport is composed of two players -- the pitcher and the batter. All of the action in a baseball game revolves around these two combatants. The pitcher stands on a raised mound of dirt, called the pitcher's mound, which is 60 feet 6 inches (18.4 meters) from home plate in Major League Baseball. The batter stands on either side of the home base, called "the plate," holding a bat and facing the pitcher. 
                                        To set the game in motion, the pitcher attempts to throw the ball past the batter into the catcher's glove or make the batter hit the ball to put it in play. As the ball is put in play, the eight fielders try to catch it or throw out the batter (more on this later) so he can't get on base and ultimately score a point (a run). The batter's goal is to put the ball in play so that the eight fielders can't catch the ball or throw it to another fielder to record an out.

Cricket


                                Cricket is defined as"a bat and ball, team game played during the summer in British Isles and in other several countriesinflunced by the british, such an Austrilia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, South Africa, and West India nations."
Cricket is played between two teamsof 11 players on a grassy field whith having pitch on the center and with two wicket of three pair. When the two team is inside the field one team start balling and another starts batting. The balling team's destiny is too mmake out all the member of opponent team and batting team main destiny is to make more runs that they can made. There is a spicified boundary and if that boundary is crossed by ball through the air then it is six and if the ball crosses the boundary through the means of land then it is four. If the three pair of wicket is hitten by ball or the ball hitten by a bat is caught the the bat's ma will be out. By this process cricket is played and it is also played world wide.
  The teams with the highest number of runs will the match.

Football

               Football is a kind of sport which is found world wide. Football is also known as soccer. There is world football organization which is known as FIFA( Federation International Football Association). Football is a kind of sport which is played between two teams with 11 players in each with 3 substitution player. Football is the team game involving kicking a ball.

Advancing the ball with kicks, running with it, passing to other team mates, trying to forward it to the opponent’s end of the field, shooting in between the goal posts and scoring a point, this is football. The winning team is the one that has scored more number of points (goals) when a specified length of time has elapsed.

The origin of the game ‘Football’ predates the recorded history. Documented evidence, a manual of Chinese military during the Han Dynasty in about 2nd century BC, describes an organized activity resembling football. It was known as ‘Cuju’ (Tsu Chu), which involved kicking a leather ball through a hole in a piece of silk cloth strung between two 30 foot poles.


The game was re-invented, after over a thousand years by the English. But the name ‘Football’ was used by number of different related team sports, such as Rugby football, American football, Australian rules football, Gelic football and Canadian football. Association football goes by the name ‘Soccer.’ However, many believe that Walter Camp adapted rugby into the sport of football. He contributed many changes from Rugby and Soccer to American football. 

Demerits of sports

              There are many demerits of sports among them 6 are as follows :-

1.Sometimes accident may occur during playing sports.

2.While playing sport the two opponent player can be enemy and start fighting.

3.Players cannot give piroty in their study and ignores studying.

4.Putting children in extracurricular activities too early can cause burn out.

5.No matter the age, players can become frustrated if they are overplayed.

6.The player will no get time for their family and becomes away from their family.

Merits of sports

            There are many merits and benefit of sport but among them 6 merits are as follow : -

1.Sport and playing, watching sport is a kind of fun and entertainment.

2.Sport is a kind of physical exercise which is very good for our health.

3.Research has found that people who plays sports are often healthy and specially girls are of overweight.

4.Physical activities are a good way to relieve stress and reduce depression.

5.Sports help develop teamwork and leadership skills.

6.Kids involved in sports are less likely to take drugs or smoke because there mind diverts on sport.

Introduction of sports



Sports which is also known as physical exercise which is best to our health. Doing sport is the far most accepted to keep us healthy directly. Sport can be described as a kind of physical activity that is performed  in discipline by following some rules and regulation which is played between two players or between two teams which is known as match. The major requisite to play any sport is discipline, patience, and mental stability, a person who possess these qualities can be a successful sportsman.

              The dictionary meaning of sport is an activity involving physical effort and skill in which a person or team competes against another or others.
